iOS Development Services

iPhone, iPod, and iPad Development using the Apple iOS SDK
Chili Technologies offers iOS development as part of its service offering. We can develop simple self-contained applications to highly complex backend server integrated applications.

iOS proficiencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Objective-C
  • XCode
  • RestKit framework
  • ObjectiveFlickr framework
  • Core Data modeling
  • Three20 UI framework
  • coco2d gaming engine

Whatever your desired project might be, feel free to contact us to discuss development options. We can work with you to start a dialogue to find out your project needs and what the goal of your iPhone or iPad app will be.

Please be advised that, generally speaking, we do not take on iOS development projects priced at less than $10,000 USD.  Almost all quality developed projects usually start at $10,000 and can vary in pricing up to $100,000 depending on the length and complexity of the project.  The median project cost is around $40,000.

iOS development is much more resource intensive than web development and even seemingly simple feature request can result in thousands of dollars in extra development time.  Also, unless we are developing a very simple one screen application, most applications are usually client-server based in some capacity so designing and developing the APIs which the app will use to communicate with your server will also incur an additional cost. Whenever feasible, we prefer working with clients who have separate developer for backend API development work.  For clients who cannot hire a separate backend developer, we recommend using third-party services such as Parse.com, which can help speed up backend development time tremendously, at the same time reducing server maintenance and hosting costs.

We use industry accepted frameworks and development approaches to save the client time and money, but even so, mobile application development can be significantly more expensive than web development. Given this fact, we will help work with you to determine if a native app is really the solution, or if a mobile web site would be more cost effective and deliver similar results.

There are some solutions where a native-app is a must, such as gaming, and highly interactive applications, however there are also other areas, such as simple data collection and display, where a mobile web-app may be more appropriate.
